Aha! Look at that! Smiles of pride appear as students enjoy the results of combining their artistic techniques with their own unique spirit. Whether painting a picture or designing a basket, The Log Cabin Art Center encourages creative expression and provides enthusiastic support as students learn and hone their skills.

A program of artistic expression has been a tradition at The Center since 1932, and is guided by professionally credentialed artists and teachers.

Please follow this link for our current Art Class schedule. Registration is required for all classes and workshops. We have offerings in the fine and folk arts for adults, children and families; for the beginning to advanced students.

Each Saturday morning, for example, the art center is filled with the excitement and creativity of children and their enthusiastic instructors:

The children delight in hands-on opportunities to see and express the beauty of life and nature surrounding them at The Center. The classes are kept small to encourage individual self-expression.

The Center provides exceptional, highly qualified teachers who provide skillful one-on-one guidance and instruction. Classes are small and personalized to bring out your creative spirit.

The classes at the Log Cabin Center for the Arts encourage and train participants to grow and communicate through the artistic process, blending fine art and folk art in the special holistic atmosphere of The Center.

The classes feature hands-on opportunity for creativity and the development of skills as students learn both the techniques and joys of artistic expression.  The Center's woods and farm are used as a source of inspiration and as a source of materials for many of the classes. We believe in the therapeutic benefits of creativity and in the celebration of beautiful expression.

We welcome art students of all skill levels. All instructors are prepared to work with both experienced artists and newcomers.
