The Center has, as its mission, to
help people
develop balance in their lives.
| Our program is a highly diversified collection of human
services sited in a beautiful and convenient location. That program includes the religious services of The Wayside Chapel with it's weddings, baptisms, and memorial services, Sunday afternoon Vespers services and retreats. |
A social service program
has as its main emphasis long-term aftercare for alcohol/drug dependant men. We have an environmental education program that includes resident summer camps, school camps, and a farm set up as an educational unit. An art program for adults and children that includes painting, pottery, and a number of folk craft classes. |
| The Center's unifying spirit that holds together all these diverse parts as a whole is the staff and the many volunteers as they attempt to help people reestablish and strengthen the spiritual and emotional foundations of their lives. |
It is a place of renewal where all are welcome to participate.
